The Kaneland John Shields Parent Teacher Organization (KSS-PTO) is a non-profit organization dedicated to provide an environment and recourses that will help stimulate the growth of our children and maintain the highest advantages in mental, physical, and social education.  The KSS PTO will accomplish these goals through the efforts of fundraising and by providing communication between school and home.

All teachers and administrators at the school, as well as all parents and guardians of John Shields students, comprise our voting membership.

All meetings for the 2023-24 school year will be held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM. Meetings are held in person in the teachers lounge of the school (enter main door and turn right).
